ABOUT THE POSITION

Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. Here, you who have an interest in structural mechanics have a unique opportunity to develop as a calculation engineer.

This position is aimed at those who see themselves building a career in nuclear power and developing at Forsmark. A calculation engineer in structural mechanics at Forsmark performs advanced simulations and analyses to ensure that the components and systems of the nuclear power plant are safe, sustainable, and efficient under extreme conditions. You will belong to the Strength and Fluid Mechanics group, where you will be part of a team working with calculations in structural mechanics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Perform strength and lifespan calculations on mechanical components and systems
• Support design, operations management, and maintenance with technical analyses and recommendations
• Verify that the design meets the normative requirements set
• Document and compile calculation results
• Review and ensure the quality of calculation documentation

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Is a graduated civil engineer in mechanical engineering, technical physics, or similar. Or has a bachelor's degree with relevant experience
• Is fluent in Swedish and English in both spoken and written form as this is required for communication and documentation

The position is security classified, which means that a security review will be conducted before employment. The security review includes a background check and security interview in accordance with the Security Protection Act. In addition to the security review, a drug test will be conducted.
